Calculate A5 capacity
3 columns x 5 rows using the portrait layout. Usable planning area: 136 x 198 mm.
How the calculator works
The calculator subtracts the outer margin from the A5 sheet, then tests portrait and rotated sticker placement with the chosen gap between cutlines.
It is a planning estimate, not a final production proof. Irregular shapes can sometimes nest more tightly, while detailed borders or fragile shapes may need more spacing.
| Input | Default | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| A5 sheet | 148 x 210 mm | Standard UK A5 size |
| Outer margin | 6 mm | Keeps stickers comfortably away from the sheet edge |
| Gap | 4 mm | Supports clean kiss-cut peeling without a crowded sheet |
| Layout | Portrait and rotated tested | Finds the higher practical count |
FAQs
Is this calculator exact?
No. It is a planning estimate. Final production depends on artwork shape, border width, material, and cutline complexity.
What is the default A5 margin?
The default planning margin is 6 mm on each side, leaving a practical inner area for sticker placement without crowding the sheet edge.
Why does rotation matter?
A rectangular sticker may fit more efficiently when rotated because A5 is taller than it is wide.
