Privacy policy

Last updated: 29 May 2026

Overview

This privacy policy explains how Stickiva collects, uses, stores, and shares personal data when you use the website, create sticker designs, upload artwork, contact us, or place an order.

Stickiva is the controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy at hello@stickiva.co.uk.

Information we collect

  • Contact details, such as your name, email address, delivery address, and any support messages you send us.
  • Order details, such as product choices, sticker sizes, quantities, materials, delivery method, order status, and payment reference information.
  • Artwork and uploaded content, such as photos, logos, text, template choices, design files, and previews needed to make your stickers.
  • Technical data, such as IP address, device type, browser, pages visited, error logs, cookie preferences, and approximate location derived from technical data.
  • Marketing preferences, such as whether you have asked to receive updates or opted out.

Payment card details are normally handled by a payment provider. We do not need to store full card numbers to process orders.

How we collect information

We collect information directly from you when you use forms, upload artwork, contact us, or place an order. We also collect some technical information automatically when you use the website.

We may receive limited information from service providers, such as payment confirmations, delivery tracking updates, fraud prevention signals, or support tool records.

How we use your information

  • To create quotes, previews, proofs, and custom sticker orders.
  • To check artwork, prepare production files, print, package, and deliver your order.
  • To contact you about your order, answer questions, handle refunds or reprints, and provide support.
  • To take payment, prevent fraud, protect the website, troubleshoot errors, and keep business records.
  • To improve the creator, templates, pricing, website performance, and customer experience.
  • To send marketing only where we are allowed to do so and you have not opted out.

Lawful bases

We use personal data where it is necessary to perform a contract with you or take steps before entering a contract, such as quoting, producing, and delivering an order.

We also use data where we have a legitimate interest, such as improving the service, keeping the website secure, responding to enquiries, and preventing misuse. We use data where needed to comply with legal obligations, such as accounting and tax records. Where consent is required, such as some marketing or non-essential cookies, you can withdraw it.

Who we share information with

We only share personal data where needed to run Stickiva, provide the service, comply with the law, or protect rights and safety.

  • Printing, production, fulfilment, and packaging partners.
  • Delivery companies and postal providers.
  • Payment processors, fraud prevention, and checkout providers.
  • Hosting, storage, analytics, email, support, and security providers.
  • Professional advisers, insurers, regulators, law enforcement, or courts where required.

Artwork, photos, and personal data in designs

Your sticker designs may include photos, names, logos, addresses, QR codes, or other personal data. We use that content to make the order and provide support.

If your design includes another person, you are responsible for making sure you have the right to use their image or details. Please avoid uploading sensitive information unless it is genuinely needed for your design.

How long we keep information

We keep personal data for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including producing orders, resolving support issues, keeping accounting records, meeting legal obligations, and improving the service.

Customer-uploaded images and artwork files are kept for the duration of the production job by default, then automatically deleted 1 year after the job is dispatched or cancelled so we can support repeat orders. Uploads that are not attached to an order are normally deleted after 1 year.

We may keep limited order records, messages, invoices, delivery information, and audit logs for longer where needed for support, accounting, legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons. We delete or anonymise information when it is no longer needed.

Security and international transfers

We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data, including access controls and service providers that are expected to keep data secure.

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we will rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy regulations, standard contractual clauses, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

Your privacy rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to access your personal data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, restrict or object to processing, request portability, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise your rights, contact hello@stickiva.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.

Cookies and similar technologies

We may use necessary cookies to run the website and remember essential preferences. We may also use analytics or performance cookies to understand how the website is used and improve it.

Where required, we will ask for consent before using non-essential cookies. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings.

Children, links, and updates

The checkout is intended for adults. If you are under 18, use Stickiva with a parent or guardian.

The website may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are their own, so please read their policies when you leave Stickiva.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with a new last-updated date.
